The Silence of the Dark Night Hours

Innocent and brave; lay down your head. You can sleep now. I will watch over you. The terror and the demons are powerless and cannot touch you. You may dream the dreams of a different yesterday. You may return to a time that never was and laugh.

The innocence that was never allowed to be has been restored to you. You may pick up the toy and play in the dirt without fear or harm or shame. The mud-pies and dragonflies and pretty flowers are yours. All the world is fresh and new and filled with magic and beauty and fun. I will watch over you.

Your dirty feet curl on the bed with only the toy bear as your companion. The clean fresh linen cradles your head. Exhausted and free…content you may sleep. I will watch over you. You may dream of tomorrow and the excitement it will bring.

When you awake there will be no demons and no terror. Aurora, the dawn-star, will hold your hand and guide you into the new day. I will watch over you.

From this day until the last of all days I will watch over you and no demon or monster or terror will ever be able to harm you. For it is no sacrifice that my soul should stand guard upon the ramparts and make you safe. The slings and arrows of demons cannot breech the fortress of true love and disturb the sleep of innocence.

The battering and bruising of my soul I offer, free of charge, no payment required, because I love you. Period. So you may sleep in safety…

in the silence of the dark night hours.

I wish it is possible, and I wish my love is enaugh. I wish I can say this words to my daughter, so far her life was very hard..."I will watch over you and no demon or monster or terror will ever be able to harm you"... Only God knows how hard I wish that. (I am depressed tonight) :sadangel: :raincloud:
